I came back to Quito to spend a few days catching up on stuff and doing the last tourist bits before leaving Quito for good and heading south.

I don’t think I’ve ever been to see them changing guards at Buckingham Palace, but I’ve now seen the Plaza Grande version, which happens every Monday at 11am. It’s a popular event, and I think they were singing the national anthem.

This exhibition was the work of Pablo Cardoso. They all look like photos but they’re paintings. This is all of the same place at 6am on 30 different days, and the second picture is a similar concept. He painted them to look blurred because he wasn’t actually there to take the pictures himself.
